Christmas Stocking Description

Swatches:  You may order a small sample of the fabric used to create the Christmas stockings for the current season, at no charge,  by sending your request via email.  

Fabric & Stitching:  All Christmas stockings are made of soft felt fabric in deep Christmas colors of ruby red (not burgundy) and hunter green. Colors may seem brighter in the pictures then they actually are.  The red stockings are a very nice deep red, not the red you see in stores.  The green is very dark green.  The cuff, toe, and heel of the stocking is accented with  hunter green cotton homespun fabric, which may vary from season to season, depending on the availability from our supplier.  Also, because the trim material is homespun (hand dyed), there could be a difference in the shades from year to year.   This cannot be avoided.  Each stocking is completely lined in solid cotton material.   All embroidered pieces on the front of the stockings are done by hand. 

NOTE: It is best to order for the family at the same time.  If you order some stockings one year and some the following year,  I cannot guarantee your set will match.  It is best to order for the family within the same holiday season. 

Measurement:  The Christmas stocking's height measures approximately 19 ½"  from the top of the cuff to the bottom of the toe. The width measures approximately 8 ".  Please visit the stocking measurement page where an illustration is available. 

Special Requests:  If you have any special requests such as; point  stocking  toe to the left instead of the right, use a red stocking instead of a green, etc... I will be happy to accommodate you.  Please keep in mind, however that your request may mean a delay in shipping. A large amount of Christmas stockings are partially made ahead of time.  Requesting changes means I am forced to make your Christmas stockings from scratch.  Finishing up a stocking that is partially made will go out quicker than one that is created from the ground up.  At check out there is a space provided for any specific instructions that you may have. You may also email me with your special request.  Please provide the name your order is under. 

Care Instructions:  It is best to spot wash your stocking lightly with a damp cloth, being careful not to rub, but blot the fabric.  Place the stocking flat to air dry. Do not  put the stocking in the washer or dryer. To store from year to year, I suggest laying the stockings flat and wrapping them in a plastic wrapping.  The less friction the stockings have with other items the better.  Store in a dry place with limited humidity.

Restrictions:  The Christmas stockings are not meant to be used as toys.   Carefully watch children under three years of age.  If you would like a stocking with no beads, buttons, etc.. please let  me know on the order form where I have included an area for specific instructions, I will be happy to accommodate you.  Also, the stockings are not flame resistant. Please hang the stockings carefully away from open flames.
